A group of Capital Community College students completed a service project at The Milner Core Knowledge Academy on Vine Street in Hartford May 14th.
Students of the Your Educational Success (Y.E.S.) program cleaned up grounds and playgrounds, removed graffiti and planted shrubs and flowers at the pre-K through grade eight elementary school in the city’s North End.

Capital Alumnus and Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra donned a YES tee-shirt to help students clean up and beautify Milner Academy grounds in the city's North End.
Organized by the Capital Community College Foundation’s Leticia Colon of Hartford Hospital, YES students participated in the service project as part of a work-based education program funded by Capital Workforce Partners. The program, offering life skills and academics, includes completion of a three-credit course offered by the College in partnership with Hartford Hospital.
A Wednesday June 1st graduation for Y.E.S. students will be held. For information on the Y.E.S. program contact Leticia Colon at LLcolon@harthosp.org 860-690-5522.
