Capital Community College Town & Legislative Breakfast At The Capitol February 29th

Leaders, students and alumni of Hartford’s Capital Community College will host an annual Town & Legislative Breakfast at the State Capitol on Wednesday, February 29th, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The breakfast will engage area legislators, local officials and community representatives in a discussion of higher education and student achievement issues, including legislation that is under consideration in the 2012 session of the General Assembly.

CCC, enrolling more than 4,500 students who primarily reside in the Greater Hartford area, offers a comprehensive range of certificate and degree programs for careers or transfer to the baccalaureate.

College officials will share information on the college’s current budget. Initiatives and partnerships that promote student success and address workforce needs will also be discussed.

The breakfast, sponsored by the College’s Foundation & Advisory Council, will be held in the Legislative Office Building’s Dining Room.  For more information interested persons may contact the College’s Advancement office, 860-906-5102 or E-mail jmcnamara@ccc.commnet.edu
