A total of 4,596 students have enrolled at Capital for the spring semester that began on January 17th, 4.9 percent more than spring 2011 and an increase over last fall’s enrollment of 4,512.
Official numbers released by the CT State Colleges and Universities (ConnSCU) Office of Policy and Research show 1,061 (23.1%) full-time students and 3,535 (76.9%) part-time students this semester. Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) enrollment stands at 2,488.
Though enrollments leveled off during 2010-2011 after several years of record growth, Capital’s enrollment over the last decade continues to trend upward since its move to the downtown campus in the fall of 2002. This spring’s enrollment is 30.7% higher than spring enrollment in 2002, the last semester for the college at its Woodland Street campus.
