A March 27th performance of “The Other Place” by Sharr White and directed by Rob Ruggiero will benefit the College’s Hartford Heritage Program at TheaterWorks, City Arts on Pearl, 233 Pearl Street, Hartford.
The Nursing and Health Careers Departments are hosting the Capital Night @ TheaterWorks with a 6:00 pm reception and 7:30 pm performance of the critically acclaimed drama described as a “gripping thriller” and nominated for a 2013 Tony Award. The play explores the confusion and vulnerability of a competent professional confronting an illness and deteriorating neurological changes. The evening includes a “Talk Back” with the audience and members of the cast after the performance. Capital’s student jazz ensemble will provide music at the reception.
Faculty, staff and alumni reservations are $25 per person with 100% of net proceeds going to the four-year-old Heritage program, an initiative linking courses and students with the city’s cultural and historic institutions.
Public reservations are $50. Sponsor opportunities are available. Thanks to the generosity of TheaterWorks, 100% of audience sales will benefit the Foundation’s Hartford Heritage fund.
