The 10th Changing Lives Gala for Hartford’s Community College will be held Thursday evening November 13, 2014 at the downtown campus. The gala will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.
The 2014 Gala will feature music, auctions, complimentary beverages and food from Hartford favorites Agave Grill and Wood-n-Tap.
For 47 years Capital has been a stepping stone to higher education and careers in Greater Hartford. The Gala supports the College’s mission to provide residents with a “quality, affordable education.” Support from the community translates into greater access to college and strengthens programs of study as public funds for student financial aid and academics decline.
The event is an occasion to share uplifting student and alumni success stories and to highlight programs such as the Crossroad to Careers program, part of Travelers’ Empowering Dreams for Graduation and Employment (EDGE) that has spread to other campuses since Crossroads’ start at Capital in 2007. Travelers is the Campus Sponsor of the 2014 Gala.

The Changing Lives Gala committee seeks sponsorships, ticket purchases, journal advertising and donations t0 auctions as part of the College’s signature event for access to college and student success.

A Fundraising and Community Relations briefing on the Gala will be held Monday, September 22nd, at 4 p.m. in the President’s Conference Room (11th floor) for the campus community and interested volunteers.
