Capital Community College’s Office of Financial Aid is holding a series of workshops in June to orient students seeking financial aid for the 2015-2016 academic year. Classes begin for the fall semester on Monday, August 31st.
The 90-minute workshops will be held on consecutive Fridays June 12th, June 19th and June 26th with morning sessions from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. and afternoon sessions from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The workshops will be held at the CCC Welcome Center on campus, 950 Main Street, Hartford, in Room 218.
The workshops focus on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process. Students are expected to provide a current e-mail address, a federal pin number assigned through the U.S. Department of Education at www.pin.ed.gov and 2014 income information to determine financial need.
New and continuing students may also apply for a Capital Community College Foundation scholarship. Monday, June 15th is the deadline to submit Foundation scholarship applications. Eligibility information is provided with the applications.
