An alumni-donor scholarship scholarship reception will be held at Capital Community College (CCC) on Thursday, May 18th, at 6 p.m. as the 2016-2017 academic year comes to a close.
Through the generosity of individuals, companies and foundations the CCC Foundation and the College each year pave the way for students with financial needs to complete their studies for transfer to the baccalaureate and to attain professional careers. In 2016-2017 the College Foundation awarded scholarships to 70 CCC students providing $74,000 in financial aid complementing the College’s FAFSA-based and institutional aid programs.
This year’s reception is an opportunity to share success stories and give thanks to those who contribute to the College Foundation’s scholarship funds. 
The program will preview the college’s 50th anniversary activities for 2017-2018 including a 50th Alumni awards program to recognize graduates from each decade in an alumni Hall of Fame, the October 19th Changing Lives Gala and a “50 Acts of Kindness” campaign focusing on the College’s commitment to community service and compassion.
